Stock #5879

For sale in our St. Louis showroom is an angry Ford Torino. This pro-touring Torino is fully sorted and ready for a long cruise or to just terrorize the streets. This 1969 Ford Torino 428 SCJ is painted in Raven Black with Nugget Gold interior and rides on 17" American Racing Trakstar wheels with Nitto tires. Keeping this car planted on the road is a full aftermarket suspension system. The front suspension is TCP by Chris Alston Chassis Works and includes tubular control arms, 1 1/8" sway bar, adjustable coil-over Vari-shocks, a power rack and pinion steering system by RRS and sub-frame connectors. The rear suspension has Cal-Trac traction bars, QA-1 adjustable coil-overs, stock leaf springs and a Ford 9" with 3.91 traction lock rear gears and 31 spline Moser axles. Powering this car down the road (or track) is the original numbers matching 428 Super Cobra Jet. This engine has been balanced and blueprinted, comes with forged pistons, Comp cam, Lemans rods, a nodular crank, Moroso 8 qt. oil pan, an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake with the correct Holley carburetor and correct factory ram air set up. The engine also consist of a Concept 1 billet pulley system, an MSD billet distributor and MSD 6AL ignition. Exhausting all of this power is a set of Hooker Supercomp headers and 3" exhaust exiting through Flowmaster mufflers and stainless steel exhaust tips. Supplying fuel to this beast is a 15 gallon fuel cell with stainless steel braided fuel lines, a Magna 400 electric fuel pump, and an Aeromotive fuel pump controller. Sending this power to the rear wheels is the original numbers matching C6 with a TCI servo and low drag planetary, Kevlar clutches, a Super Street Fighter converter and a B&M transmission cooler. Who knows maybe you'll want to get off of the go pedal and slow down this beast. Doing so is a set of Wilwood disc brakes front and rear with stainless brake lines. Sitting inside this car you'll be held in place by the Corbeau racing seats with a 5 point harness. Steering this car is a Grant wood steering wheel and looking over at the gauges you'll notice a nice big Autometer tach and Ford Motorsport oil and water gauges. Wow, as you now know this is quite the build and the current favorite among our staff. To view this Torino SCJ, please visit www.gatewayclassiccars.com or our St. Louis showroom.
