Vehicle Description
1946 Buick Super Convertible. One of only 5,931 produced, this is probably the best example of the four known to exist. It has been driven only 6,000 miles since a frame-off restoration by Buick specialist, Jenkins Restoration of Wilkesboro, NC in 1995, and then completely refreshed by Jenkins in 2007. The Ebony black paint is gorgeous, the Red leather and Tan broadcloth interior is perfect, and the chrome and stainless trim flawless. This beauty is a multiple award winner, including: AACA Senior & Grand National, AACA Best Post War Car, and Meadowbrook Concours Best in Class, Amelia Island Concours 1st, Buick Club of America Senior, and Buick Club Nationals Best of Show. After successfully competing on the show circuit, the owner wished to enhance driving comfort and reliability, so the electrical system was upgraded to 12 volts, and air conditioning was added, as well as rare optional SE dual carburetor set up. NOTE: No holes in the body were created, and all parts to return vehicle to stock condition are included with purchase. The smooth 248 cu in overhead valve straight-eight engine produces 125 HP, and is backed by a 3-speed transmission. The new Tan Haartz cloth power top has never been down since the restoration, and is equipped with power windows, power seat, radio, dual mirrors, trim rings, and wide white wall tires. The car is ready for any show, completely reliable, and waiting to be driven and enjoyed!
