Vehicle Description
This is a great running and driving car. Not a show car due to poor quality paint job, but very solid and possessing a great powertrain and interior. The 352 Interceptor starts and runs fantastically. The Cruise-O-Matic shifts properly. This car handles the road with ease due to power steering and near new Coker radial wide whitewall tires.
The wheel cylinders and master cylinder were just replaced. All the glass is good. The wipers, horn and radio do not work. The driver’s side rear window is not working, but the other power windows work just fine.
The interior was replaced at some time and it looks wonderful. The carpet and headliner are great. There are new Thunderbird rubber floor mats.
The floors and trunk are perfectly solid. The body does not show any sign of bodywork or repairs. The panels are nice and straight. There is no sign of rust or repair of rust. The paint job appears to be home sprayed, as it has lots of orange peal and some runs. I believe it is thick enough that it could be sanded, but the clear coat has been burned through in spots. Likely, you will want to scuff the entire car, respray the clear and then polish it to a shine.
The chrome is original and a bit thin. But all is present and straight.
This is a great platform and driver. You can certainly enjoy it as it is. If you want a show car, some investment will be required.
