Vehicle Description
In 1970, sheet metal revisions gave the already popular Chevelle a more squared stance. Interior spaces were also completely redesigned. Engine choices were plentiful and ranged from the humble standard 200hp 307 cubic inch V8 to a pair of 402 cubic inch engines still marketed as the "396". The RPO Z25 SS equipment option included the 402 rated at 330hp. 1970 also marked the introduction of 454 cubic inch engine rated at 360hp available under the RPO Z15 SS Equipment Option. The 454 was also available with cowl induction. The brochure explained, "Make our tough one even tougher...shoot an extra breath of cool air into the engine air intake...like a second wind to a distance runner!". Functional hood lock pins were not standard equipment, but offered as part of the ZL2 cowl induction hood option. This 1970 SS Tribute includes a rebuilt 454 mated to a Richmond 5-Speed manual transmission and 3:08 gear ratio. Set off in a classic two-tone blue & silver with black vinyl interior combination, this car demands to be noticed on the street, and strip! Additional features include power door locks, remote keyless entry and a tilt steering wheel. This powerful street machine is located at our Milwaukee showroom.
