Vehicle Description
NEW PRICE! Rare 6-speed convertible with 7900 original miles. Awesome color combination with unusual two-tone interior. Z51 suspension, power top, polished wheels, HUD. Fantastic ‘Vette at a bargain price! With only 7902 miles on the odometer, this car is still essentially brand new. The Atomic Orange paint is simply spectacular—there’s a reason it was a $750 upcharge and the lights in our studio simply don’t do it justice. Finish quality is excellent because the guys down at Bowling Green get all the tools they need to turn out great product—GM knows that the guys who buy Corvettes care about this stuff a lot more than the guys buying Impalas. Panel fit is equally exacting and the C6 feels like it was carved from a single block of aluminum because it’s rock solid. This car has no accidents, of course, and the nose shows zero evidence of road rash. There might be a scuff or two on the chin spoiler, but that’s pretty much unavoidable (most guys scraped it on the way out of the dealership on day one). And even with those super-sticky Goodyears, there’s no road rash on the rockers. It’s almost like a brand new 10-year-old car. Remarkable!
The interior is truly special, carrying code 316 Ebony and Cashmere Two Tone leather, a $695 option. It’s gorgeous, with black leather bolsters and tan inserts with racy perforations and custom embroidery on the headrests. Aside from some wrinkling on the outer bolsters, the upholstery is unmarked and as new, the carpets are protected by heavy-duty rubber mats so they look new, and the door panels don’t show so much as a little dent where the driver might have been resting his elbow. It’s clean! It’s also loaded with just about every available option, including the heads-up display, power windows, seats, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, and even heated seats, which are nice on cool evenings with the top down. This car also includes a power convertible top which makes it incredibly easy to go from buttoned-up to wide-open in a matter of seconds, all with the touch of a button. There’s also a good-sized trunk that’s fully upholstered and includes a handy cargo net for your gear and a few hidden storage bins underneath.
Power, of course, comes from the smooth, torquey, bulletproof, and impressively tractable 6.0 liter LS2 V8. There’s power all over the tach and you don’t have to flog it to get the most out of it. 400 horsepower is more than enough to get you in loads of trouble and even punching it in 4th or 5th gear results in grin-inducing acceleration. This one is completely unmodified save for a rumbling Corsa stainless steel cat-back exhaust system, which was installed mostly for the sound rather than horsepower, but who’s counting? An unmodified ‘Vette means that it runs, drives, and feels like the factory intended and reliability is completely unaffected. It also means this car hasn’t been raced or abused. The engine bay is as-new, with black coil covers, stock air cleaner assembly, and all the factory hardware completely intact. It has fluids changed as needed, so it’s 100% ready to enjoy and barks to life just by pressing the button on the dash. No surprises here, just a low-mileage car that’s been babied since Day One.
This car also includes the desirable 6-speed manual transmission, which, shockingly enough, only 1078 convertible buyers selected. The 6-speed transforms the C6, giving it a more visceral edge and thanks to revised gear ratios in the transmission from the Z51 suspension upgrade and the 3.42 gears in back, it’s quite a bit quicker than the automatic cars. That Z51 package also includes revised springs and shocks, different sway bars, coolers for the transmission and differential, and those gorgeous cross-drilled brake rotors that look awesome behind the polished alloy wheels. The underside is like new, with all the original tags and markings fully intact and only the shiny Corsa exhaust deviates from factory spec. Polished forged aluminum wheels look awesome with the Atomic Orange paint (really, would you choose anything else?) and carry original Goodyear run-flats.
Holy cow is this a lot of car for the money! I love driving this car, I love looking at it, and for the money, there’s simply nothing else that can touch it in terms of speed and precision. It’s got the eyeball-popping good looks to out-shine even the C7 at shows and for the guy who understands value, this car offers a heck of a lot of Corvette for about fifty cents on the dollar. Pretty hard to beat that. Call today!
