Vehicle Description
1947 marked the last model year for the pre-WWII Ford pickup design. The venerable F1 series was introduced in November, 1947 for the 1948 model year. This unique street rod is truly a one of a kind creation. Based on a tube chassis, the 1947 steel top has been removed to create this roadster and the cab extended. The quarter-panels and running boards are original. The box is completely new and fabricated from 16-gauge steel. Power is supplied via a 1988 Ford 302 V8 mated to a C4 automatic transmission and 9-inch rear end. The owner reports 2000 miles since the rebuild. Additional features include power brakes, power steering and a tilt steering wheel. The AC hardware is there but not functional. The brown/gold DuPont paint is in outstanding condition and the interior features a nicely fitted cream tan vinyl and beautiful gauge cluster by Classic Instruments. This stunning 1947 Roadster is located at our Milwaukee showroom.
