For starters, this '51 Styleline has been enhanced with a 12 volt electrical system, front disc brakes, electric wipers, a new exhaust with a new dual-tip muffler, and a new gas tank. This car went through a complete reconditioning approximately 8 years ago, including the drivetrain, with both the engine and transmission receiving rebuilds; and more recently, the rear end was reconditioned just about a year ago. With only about 2500 total miles on the drivetrain since being redone, this car is ready for some sedate, stylish cruising. Powered by its torquey 216.5 CID Inline 6 cylinder, backed by its "three on the tree" column-shifted manual transmission, sending the twist to a set of 3.55:1 rear gears, you'll find yourself gliding down the road getting plenty of thumbs ups from your fellow travelers. Inside, you'll find a custom-installed Vintage Air system housed in a custom center console, giving it a real "factory" look. The exterior is as nice as the interior, bathed in a dark gray metallic paint that has a touch of green added to it, which just gleams in the sunlight. All of the chrome is in great condition, and its custom 18" chromed aluminum wheels are wrapped in Riken Raptor ZR rated tires, really filling the wheel wells out nicely, and adding to its cruiser look.
