Volkswagen provided drivers of its 1958 Beetle with a better viewing experience by enlarging both the front windshield and the back window. This year's model, in fact, was distinguished by it’s new squarish back window, as opposed to the oval back windows in previous models. The '58 Beetle also received an updated instrument panel with a larger glovebox, a redesigned steering wheel, and a flat accelerator pedal in place of a roller type pedal. The exterior of this restored black bug is very straight and ripple free with a very nice paint job as well as all trim, chrome and moldings restored or replaced. The outside appearance is finished off with the correct smooth wheels that are wrapped with Coker Classic wide white wall tires. Powered by a 1300cc 4cylinder air cooled engine that retains it’s 6 volt generator and it’s original oil bath air cleaner looks right at home in it’s engine bay. The interior compartment has deluxe smooth vinyl off white seats, two tone door panels and a cloth headliner. The trunk area contains it’s spare tire along with its jack.
