High quality restoration in 2013 done by Newlands Motors in Sussex U.K. at a cost of more than $210000. Shipped minus the original transmission to Steel Wings in Philadelphia P.A. for installation of a 5-Speed Manual transmission at a cost of $26000. Only driven a few miles since. This Aston was built with optional A/C and upgraded with a modern compressor during restoration. The 4.0 liter straight-six with its triple side-draft Weber carburetors produces an output of 325 hp. Originally Fiesta Red and changed to its current Metallic Grey when the dealer found the original color unsellable. This DB6 really is as lovely as it looks in the photos. The mostly original interior is stunning and appears to be the only area of the car not fully covered in the restoration. The leather seats are soft and comfortable with no split seams or tears and just the right amount of patina giving credence to the 48k miles on the odometer. The carpets look new.
