1968 Chevy Camaro SS Hardtop. A true SS!

Engine & Transmission: GM 427 cu. in. with a Tremec manual 5-speed.

Body & Paint: The car has always been garaged since new & had a professional frame-off restoration of a virtually rust free car approximately 16 years ago. The car most recently had a professional strip & repaint with light metallic blue base-coat/clear-coat urethane & chassis & inner fender wells freshened with new paint. All the trim, bumpers & grill have been restored recently as well.

Engine & Compartment: The custom built engine which is a 1966 Corvette 390 390 hp block recently freshened by 'Auto Ron's' in Davenport, Iowa to 425 hp specs & has approximately 3k miles since rebuild. Performance parts like an Edlebrock aluminum intake, Holley 850 cfm carburetor, full length Hooker ceramic coated headers & a 2-1/2" custom exhaust have been installed as well. The engine compartment is highly detailed in billet aluminium & chrome accessories & cooled with a Be Cool brand custom aluminum radiator. Wheel wells & firewall painted in high gloss base-coat/clear-coat urethane.

Chassis, Tires & Wheels: The rust free chassis has been totally re-painted in satin black enamel. The front suspension has been totally rebuilt with adapted front power disc brakes & new chrome Corvette style cylinder & 7" chrome booster. The original differential houses new 373 posi-traction gears & added traction bars. The new 18" 45ZR series radials are mounted on 'Boss' aluminum wheels.

This excellent rust free professionally restored 427 SS Camaro is a prime example of a muscle car enthusiast desires. Even though the engine is not the original numbers match for this car, the fact that it has a modified 1966 Corvette 390 horsepower 427 machined & pro-built to 425 hp specs by Auto Ron's of Davenport, Iowa gives this car tremendous market appeal. A new Tremec 5-speed transmission was added in the Spring of 2008. The quality workmanship, components & especially the engine, give this car a high value in the marketplace & make it a desirable driver for which it was built. Recent auctions & private sales as of Spring 2016 show the value @ $64,850.
