It's easy for me to go on and on about the quality, performance, fuel economy, and overall presentation of the later model Corvettes. Of course, all generations of Corvette have their outstanding qualities from 1953 to current day. This rant is primarily focused on the C5 series, this 2002 in particular. When Chevrolet debuted the 1997 Corvette C5 to the world, that is when the Corvette became truly world class.
Since that time, the Corvette really has had no competitor. What I mean is, The looks, the performance, the fuel economy, as well as overall bullet proof reliability, rolled up into a package that is really pretty affordable to most everyone.
This particular car, being a 2002 was approaching the end of the C5 run, and what that means is, by this time, any bugs, or quirks have been virtually eliminated from the model.
This Corvette convertible you see here is a fine example of a classic color combination of bright red exterior, tan leather interior, and a black convertible top. Add to this a Chrome 5 spoke set of wheels, and a nice rumbling exhaust, and low original miles (51,259), and you've got a car that would be very difficult to be improved upon.
Nicely appointed with most every option available, the handling, the high performance drive-train and creature comforts that this Corvette provides is not only hard to beat, but nearly impossible to duplicate in most any other car...Period!
A bold statement...Maybe, but if you own any corvette from 1997 up, there really is no need to explain. Great car!
