1957 Corvette, Polo White with Silver coves, red interior and black soft top.1957 was a very crucial year in the history of the Corvette, Zora Duntov and his team was faced with the possibility of GM dropping the Corvette, they had to design a true American performance sports car that would prove its place in the market. This Corvette represents that turning point and now 60 years later Corvette has continued to be the true American Sports Car. Since going through a meticulous restoration it has received a Concours Silver Certificate at the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals and a first place in its class at the 2007 prestigious Geneva Concours d'Elgance in Geneva, Illinois. This car is so impressive that it was chosen to lead the Bloomington Gold Road Tour in 2007 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the 1957 Corvette. This beautifully body-off restored Corvette has had every piece of it either restored or replaced. The very straight body was completely stripped to bare fiberglass and gel coated prior to being repainted the correct factory Polo White. The interior and convertible are AL Knoch reproductions, the dash and all of the gauges are restored to like new. The era correct 283ci./245hp two four barrel engine has been completely re-built and balanced before being re-installed into the restored chassis along with the correct 3 speed manual transmission. This is an outstanding solid axle Corvette that looks like new and you would be proud to show at any car show or cruise night.
