I bought a split-window Chevrolet Corvette in 1963 from Freeport Chevy on Long Island, New York.
I raced Joel Rosen that summer at Islip Speedway. He had a ’63 split window also. “Motion” beat me and went on to win “Top Eliminator” against a ’63 Dodge Dart 413 just like in the Beach Boys song, “Shut Down.”
My ’63 split window Corvette coupe is in my garage but doesn’t run. One of these days, I’ll start it up.
