Six Aston Martins, including a rare 1930 International model, will be featured at H&H Classics auction October 12 at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford, Cambridgeshire, England
The 1930 Aston Martin International 1.5-liter short-chassis tourer is one of only 81 built. It was restored in 1995 and afterward its owner, David Venables, put it to high-speed tests, taking part twice in the Brighton Speed Trials. In February 2011, it was featured on the cover of The Automobile magazine.
Joining the International on the H&H docket will be:
A 1954 DB2/4 sedan discovered in a barn in Virginia;A 1969 DBS “Vantage Specification,” its restoration featured on the British television show For the Love of Cars;A 1979 V8 Volante;A 24,000-mile, all-original 2003 DB7 V12 GTA;A 2007 DB9 Volante.
In all, the cars span 77 years of Aston Martin history, H&H noted in its news release.
The 1954 DB2/4 was discovered in a barn in 2008, underwent a restoration and has won best-in-class honors at several concours and shows, H&H reported, and recently has undergone additional care in England in preparation for its sale.
