This offering is a numbers matching big block 396 Chevelle Super Sport, with documentation, a full restoration and a healthy rebuild on the numbers matching engine. The documentation that comes with this Chevelle SS includes the original maintenance manual with the attached protect-o plate and build receipts. The engine was rebuilt using a Melling cam and lifters with a cam part number of 22204. The specs are 503-529. A Melling high volume oil pump was installed. Total seal rings were used on the pistons and a Cloyes double roller timing chain was utilized to keep the timing in check. Long tube headers and Flowmaster exhaust gets rid of the exhaust in quick order. The red paint was applied for a fresh look and the vinyl top was redone as well. The interior was restored to factory specs to maintain the nostalgic feel. The factory AC keeps you cool on those hot days and warm nights.
