This beauty has the best of both worlds, a slick classic look on the outside, with all new mechanicals underneath. This stunning '49 rides on custom suspension which utilizes a Monte Carlo front end with all new Upper and Lower A-arms, new bushings, new ball joints, new tie rod ends, and new shocks. It has disc brakes in all four corners with new rotors, calipers, and pads. The body itself was a nice rust free example which was media blasted, epoxy primered, and painted with base coat clear coat. It features a sharp two tone scheme with tan on the top, and peacock blue on the bottom. The power plant is a new GM crate 350 CID V8 which mates up to a rebuilt 700R4 Automatic Overdrive transmission. The overdrive makes long highway drives effortless, and is operated by a simple toggle switch. The 700R4 leads to a 79 Pontiac rear end with Posi-Traction and 3.08 final drive ratio. The interior is nicely laid out with 4 full sized bucket seats to comfortable fit 4 adults. What a great road trip or tailgate vehicle! With full options, this baby is easy to drive; power steering, power brakes, and cold Air Conditioning. For parking, it even has a back up camera which displays on the rearview mirror! Of course, a vehicle like this needs a bumping stereo, so the Suburban has 7 speakers and plenty of bump in the trunk. The time and attention to detail put into this build is incredible.
