Vehicle Description
For sale in our Denver showroom is a black and silver 1950 Willy's Jeep CJ3A. This Willy's Jeep is as real as it gets; VIN: 51980. The Willy's-Overland introduced the CJ-3A model in 1949 to replace the CJ-2A. CJ employed the same "utilitarian" features that gave the MB model great success in WWII. Even so, Willy's-Overland realized the value of driver comfort, even in a "work" vehicles such as the CJ. Increasing leg room adding a windshield ventilator for the circulation of fresh air. The suspension was a notable improvement, as the vehicle was still being used for various agricultural applications. They also retained the "Go-Devil" 4-cylinder engine, as did the M38 military version built during 1950-52. This Awesome little jeep has endured a full frame off restoration. New body fenders and tailgate in March 2016. A new hood with the custom hood scoop was also added for engine clearance. As you can see from the pictures the restoration has been very meticulous, from the windshield down to the new wiring and lights. The paint job was completed in September 2016. New seats will help soak up the bumps along the trails. The rebuilt motor, believed to be a F134 Hurricane, and 3 speed manual with high and low transfer case will allow you to take this little beauty anywhere you need to go; and will surely turn heads at any 4 wheel drive event. Hop in this fantastic Willy's Jeep and step back to a different era, following the end of World War II and the beginning of the Baby Boomers known as the greatest generation of all time.
