Vehicle Description
This is a Biarritz Edition, not a standard coupe, and has a unique, documented history. It was originally purchased by Dean Bailey of Dean Bailey Oldsmobile of Tulsa, OK as a gift for his wife, Betty in 1985. There is a gold plaque still on the glove box that says "Especially for Betty Bailey." It was ordered with nearly every option you could get on the car at the time, including factory installed locomotive horns and the Eldorado trademark stainless steel roof. The trunk still has the chrome Dean Bailey dealership emblem on it. I have all the original dealership paperwork for the car. When their mother passed, the sons kept the car in the showroom for quite some time and it was eventually put into storage. As you would expect, the car looks, runs and drives like it is still brand new. Everything is original on this car. All belts were replaced due to age last year. Other than regular oil and fluid changes, there has been no needed mechanical service on this vehicle. It has a new battery and I had the AC system updated and recharged last year with modern synthetic freon (R-134a). It blows ice cold. I had the Vogue tires checked recently to determine their age. The tech was amazed that they are in perfect condition, no dry rotting or cracking, virtually no tread wear, but they are 13 years old. For as much as the car gets driven, he recommended not replacing them. The interior tan cashmere leather is still soft as can be and in near-perfect condition, only showing a slight bit of wear on the back seat edge and driver door window sill. The exterior is also near perfect, only one very tiny ding that I'm aware of. The car still has the original factory installed GM window decals. The car has been completely detailed twice a year since I've owned it, mostly to keep a good coat of wax on it and leather cleaning and conditioner for the interior. This was the pinnacle of luxury for American-made cars in 1985 and it is a definite time capsule of that era. 4.1 liter V-8, electronic fuel injection, digital dashboard, and an average of 22 mpg on the highway. She is the last of the big two door coupes. It was also the last year of the long wheel base Caddys. In 1986, they downsized all Cadillac models. This is the solid 4.1 V8 motor and can be verified by VIN. She'd make a fun cruiser for anyone. Although you can still find a few of these old gals for sale cheaper, you won't find one with this low original mileage in near showroom condition. The car is located in Arizona, land of the rust-free cars! Contact me if you have questions or would like to arrange to see the car. Thanks!
