MotoeXotica Classic Cars can help you with that search. We are proud to offer this 1923 Chevrolet Series-B Superior Light Delivery Canopy Truck that was made right here in St. Louis at the General Motors' assembly plant that opened in 1918. This is truly an investment grade vehicle that is worthy of winning most any shows you take it to and it is sure to draw a crowd! Dressed in blue over black paint, this frame-off, nut & bolt, restored delivery truck's finish is in excellent show winning condition. The horizontally split windshield looks good and the headlights are in very good order. The trucks rides on Excelsior four-ply tires sized 30 x 3.5 and are in good shape. They surround black wood spoke wheels that look great. All of the truck's body panels are solid and straight and look fantastic. As this is a 1920s delivery vehicle, it has no doors but the black running boards are in very good order. The blue uppers provide a great contrast to the black lowers. The roof is a rubberized black material, which was a common way to finish roofs during the era. The cargo bed is in fantastic shape, too, with blue wood and black trim. There are three brand new sets of roll-up curtains, two for the sides and one for the rear. Accessories include a spotlight and spare tire on the driver's side. Under the vee-shaped hood, the 171 CID inline four-cylinder looks very tidy and has either a Carter or Holly carburetor. It was a recipient of a complete rebuild, as told by the previous owner. The engine is mated to a three-speed selective sliding manual transmission with a 3.77 rear end. Inside, the neatly upholstered black bench seat is in excellent shape, while the floor has wooden inserts. Above the driver are blue wood slats in excellent shape, topped by the exterior rubber roof compound. The blue metal dashboard sparkles and the original four-spoke steering wheel is present. The mirror glass and shift lever are in good order. There is no radio. The 1923 Chevrolet Superior had much smoother lines on its open models. The hoodline was raised and the cowl section was narrowed. Drum-type headlights were featured. The radiator was higher and had a flatter curvature at its top. In many ways, Superiors were superior to the aging Model T, which debuted in 1908. Superiors used Delco electric starters, generators and lighting. Instead of the Tin Lizzy hard-to-use planetary transmission, they had a three-speed manual with a floor shift. Competition to this Chevrolet in 1923 included Ford's Model T pickup and trucks from Dodge. This truck is currently located at our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. Current mileage on the odometer shows 15,832 miles. It is sold as is, where is, on a clean and clear, mileage exempt title. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!! CLICK HERE TO VIEW OUR YOUTUBE VIDEO!
