Vehicle Description

Many owners/dealers will explain why they believe their Austin Healey is unique.  In my opinion, what makes a vintage car unique is not the condition of the car, rather the history of the car.  Although my 1962 BT7 Tri Carb has received a complete frame off restoration, the fact that this California car has never traveled more than 100 miles from its original sales point, only having 2 previous owners, of which the first 2 were neighbors, makes the history of this car far more unique and desirable, thus adding to value.  Even though the car is in immaculate condition, having the original sales receipt, having the orginal owners manual, having previous California registration cards, having an appraised value of $68,500 on June 8, 2011......Condition Exterior: 1, Condition Interior: 1, Condition Underside: 1, Condition Engine: 1, Condition Mechanical: 1, Condition Tires: 1.......all contribute to true uniqueness.  Having $50,000 of parts and labor receipts, (no receipts but photos of the 2,000 hours of dissasembly and reassembly of the car) additional photos of the restoration and extras on the car including: chrome wire wheels, wind wings, an extra safety brake light and chrome dual side exhaust extensions......all add to value, but its the above described history that makes this car unique.  Is this car a trailer queen? No. Is it the next best thing? Yes.  I have driven my car to get milk on a Sunday or to a local vintage car show.  I have never driven the car in the rain, it has always been garaged in a special room, I have owned the car since 2011 and the car is currently registered with vintage California plates.  Austin Healey's are not hard to find.  Authentic Austin Healy's with traceable history are very hard to find.  This is why this car is unique.  A buyer will have few questions after he or she views and reviews all of the above.
